My name is Diane Thornton and I have been designing and making jewelry in Durango, Colorado, since 2004.  I came to Durango in 1994 to improve my training for mountain bike racing.  I raced for 10 years and had a blast!  I still love to ride, but I had to find a creative outlet as well.  I tried cooking and catering, but it was not quite the right fit.  Then a friend suggested I take a beading class with her at the local shop, Beads and Beyond.  I was hooked!  Eventually, I realized I couldn't possibly wear everything I made, so here I am, selling my creations online and at shows.

I enjoy working with a wide variety of materials, both natural and synthetic, and experimenting with different techniques. Inspiration can come from the colors in a sunset or a picture in a magazine, or anywhere in between!  Each piece is unique. Similar pieces may be available depending on availability of materials.
